Checking on the website for info on tonight's final episode of 24, I found 24 Inside, a video show for fans. It's interesting to get a weekly behind-the-scenes "documentary" just for those visiting the website. Think of it as their "blog" (who said blogs have to be text and pictures? Just ask Channel 9!).
One of the questions they asked the producer, John Caserra, was if they take fan input seriously.
"There's a new changing face in television. Audiences without knowing it are getting more involved in what they're seeing on TV. We definitely check the (web) boards. We read them. We read what's out there and see what people are saying. Characters have survived on the show by having a fan base, and they've also died on the show by not having a fan base. There's an awareness of what the audience thinks."
Who says blogs (and forums) aren't changing the face of business?
